Bill Balon, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away peacefully at the age of sixty four on August 27, 2015 with family at his bedside. Bill is survived by his wife Dorothy Balon (nee Anderson), his daughters: Andrea Laidlaw (Dexter) and Wendy Rowe (Trevor); his son Michael Balon; his seven grandchildren: William, Matthew and Jeffrey Laidlaw, Kayla, Shelby and Tyson Rowe, and Samara Ledoux; and his two brothers: Jerry Balon and Richard Balon. Bill was born on November 22, 1950 in Wakaw, SK. He spent his early years growing up on a farm in Bonne Madome near Wakaw, SK. His family later moved to Prince Albert and in 1969 Bill graduated grade twelve from Riverside School. He worked at Fayerman Bros, Victoria Union Hospital and Mackenzie Funeral Home. Bill’s greatest joy in life was being with family and friends, playing cards and listening to music. The family wishes to express a huge thank you to the medical professionals that assisted with Bill’s care. A special thank you to Dr. Cantin, Dr. Royeppen and the staff at the Herb Bassett Home. A Funeral Service for Bill will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 – 11:00 am, Gateway Covenant Church, 1500 – 15th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Seth Michael officiating.
