Beverly Ann Panchyshyn was born August 29, 1957 in Olds, AB to Irene and Frank Panchyshyn.
Bev began her education in a two-room schoolhouse in Brooksby, SK, and graduated from Gronlid High School in 1975. She received her BAC from U of S in 1995.
Bev started working for SaskTel in Melfort as an operator when she was 17. In 1985 she transferred to Saskatoon and purchased her house a few years later. She continued working for SaskTel and became the first female in Saskatchewan to repair cellular phones. She remained in this position until 2006 when she retired after 31 years.
During her time at SaskTel she was very involved with SaskTel Telcare, the Telephone Pioneers and was loaned to the United Way for 6 months. Bev was all about giving back to the community.
Bev enjoyed playing various sports such as fastball, broomball, and hockey and excelled at all of them. She also enjoyed Rider games, fishing, camping, sledding, barbecuing and entertaining family and friends, capturing every event with a picture.
Bev’s life became more meaningful and busy with the birth of her beloved daughter, Chelsea, in 1998. They travelled extensively sharing many adventures, laughter and making memories.
After retirement Bev worked casually at SED Systems and The Hospitality Network to spend more time with Chelsea. Bev was saddened by the loss of her dad, Frank, in 2011. Bev was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2013 and beat all the odds with her willpower and stubbornness until she lost her battle January 1, 2015.
Bev is lovingly remembered and will be forever missed by her daughter Chelsea, mother Irene, twin brother Norman (Christine), sister Linda Panchuk; nephews Max (Samantha), Christopher and Charles; nieces Roberta Panchuk, Jillian (Mike) Brown and Elisabeth Panchuk; great nephews Bowen, Zediah and great niece Linmarie.
She was a relative to many and friend to all.
