Betty was born in the Swift Current Union Hospital, March 2, 1956 to Dewayne and Eunice Leifson. She attended Leinan, Fairview, Irwin, Swift Current Comprehensive High School and the University of Regina. She was active in the North Star 4-H Club, an accomplished pianist and vocalist, winning numerous musical awards. Betty Lou also sang with numerous bands. She resided in Prince Albert for the past 30 years. She was predeceased by her parents, brother and brother-in-law. She is survived by a brother Terry (Linda), sister Judy, numerous nieces and nephews. At Betty's request a private family services was held December 27, 2012 with Pastor Linda Hall officating.
