Betty King
October 9, 1927 – August 7, 2020
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Betty King.
Mom passed on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Prince Albert, at the home of Alvin Parenteau and her daughter Vicki Parenteau, surrounded by the love of family.
Mom was 92 years old. Born in Kinistino, the fourth daughter of Robert and Evelyn Forsyth.
Our Mother, our role model. To us, she was everything that exemplified good. Only those who truly knew her, her children, understood her inner strength and courage, her assuring calm and dependability, her amazing resolve, countless sacrifices and generosity of spirit, her ideals determination, infinite patience and tolerance.
Her devotion to family and the depth of constant unconditional love, will live forever in our hearts.
Even at a young age, we knew our Mother was special, in her own quiet way. She always gave more than what she got. She was everything we would like to be. More importantly, our Mother showed us the secret to life is to endure.
Invariably, her capacity to embrace and overcome adversity and her positive attitude will have an everlasting impression on our lives.
There is a saying, “True friends are like diamonds – precious and rare”. Our Mother was a true friend, most precious, most rare!
As difficult as this is for us to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy of LOVE will remain strong.
Now, it is up to us, her children and grandchildren to keep her memory alive.
She enriched our lives when she was alive, and she enriches our lies with her memory. She will be missed each and everyday.
God holds You in His hands, Mom
We hold You in our hearts!
We Love You and we miss You already
Forever Blessed to have called you Mom
