Betty Jean Murchison

Our dear Betty Jean Murchison (née Johnstone) passed away at the age of 72. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, loved by all who knew her.
Betty was born in Birch Hills, SK and raised a farm girl, just outside of Crystal Springs. As one of the oldest of many siblings, this is where she developed her work ethic. She was a strong, hardworking woman who devoted her life to her family, her work, and the things she loved.
Betty was never afraid of a challenge, as a crane operator and forklift operator, she showed the strength, determination, and independence that were such an important part of who she was.
Betty was spunky, vibrant, and truly a force to be reckoned with. Her strong personality and zest for life were beautifully reflected in her signature pink hair—a perfect expression of the woman she was.
At home, she found joy in cooking delicious meals, baking sourdough bread, and tending to her garden. She loved planting, and watching things grow, taking pride in the beauty she created with her own hands. Her cat and dog were companions that brought her great happiness.
Her beloved daughter and best friend, Samantha, lovingly cared for her during her final days. Samantha was by her side every step of the way and provided Betty with exceptional love, comfort, and care. Their special bond was one that will be cherished forever.
Most precious to her was her love for Jehovah. Her faith was a deeply important part of her life, and she looked forward to the wonderful hope found in Jehovah’s promises.
She leaves behind her four children, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Though her absence leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, the memories of her strength, hard work, love, and faith will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She was faithful until the end.
Until we meet again…
