Barry Keith Pruden

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Barry Keith Pruden “Bear” born June 5, 1974, in Prince Albert, SK, passed away at the Victoria Hospital on May 28th, 2022, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 47 years old with his daughter close by.

He was the loving father of Skye, Lance and Barry Jr.; Papa to his granddaughters, Alyssia and Emily. He will also be dearly missed by the mother of his children and lifelong friend Tanya Applegate. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Arlene Simoneau, his father Richard Sorensen, his brothers Corey Pruden and Jay Dee Sorensen, his sister Shannon Huxley, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Alice and Cecil Pruden, his great grandparents Ernest and Agnes Wernham, numerous aunts and uncles.

Barry was born here in Prince Albert. He was a wonderful father. He was willing to learn and help in any way he could. Barry took a special interest in working on cars and bikes as well as electronics such as phones, computers, and tablets. He enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. He loved to hang out with his granddaughters and children. He worked multiple jobs around Prince Albert which created many friendships in and around the community. Barry was quiet and kind but outspoken when he needed to be. Barry’s honest personality meant that many people respected him. He always offered a helping hand to anyone with no judgement. Barry will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

The Memorial Service for Barry will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev Nora Vedress officiating.
