Barry Isbister

Barry Myles Isbister, late of Prince Albert, passed away December 23, 2015 at the age of 62 years. He was born December 29, 1951, in Big River, SK. Barry was employed at Mont St. Joseph Home for 42 years until health issues caused his retirement. He will be remembered for his compassion and friendship with the residents and staff at Mont St. Joseph’s. He sincerely tried to make their lives more comfortable. Barry enjoyed old time dancing with his wife Gail, and he also taught dancing to numerous dancing groups in many communities in and around Prince Albert. Barry is survived by his wife Gail Sakamoto; his one sister Valerie Isbister of Prince Albert; his brothers Hubert Isbister and Randy Isbister both of Prince Albert, and Brian (Vicky) of Moose Jaw; his nieces and nephews Tammy (Ryan) and their son Gage, Ricky, Sherry, Jason, Melissa, Trevor, Randi, Sean, Sarah, and Heather; his brother-in-law Edwin Lafond. He was predeceased by his parents Myron and Dorothy Isbister; his twin brother Bruce; his mother-and-father-in-law Clem and Sarah Lafond; his sisters-in-law Rose Isbister and Shelly Isbister. Donations in Barry’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3 Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8 or to Mont St. Joseph Home, 777 28 Street E, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 8C2. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 29 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, with Deacon Eldon Danielson officiating. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30 from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25 Street East, with Celebrant, Father Roque Concepcion.
