BARBARA MARY BOLTON
1924 – 2016
Mary Bolton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 92 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Sandy (Allan) Bolton, in 1993, and her daughter-in-law, Molly, in 2011. Mary and Sandy were married in 1951, and they are survived by four children, Allan of Edam, SK, and Maggie (Brian) Sim, Gordon and Rosi (Kirk) Linzmeyer, all of Saskatoon, SK. Mary was born in 1924 near Glastenbury, England. She was a military veteran of WWII with the ATS, where she was a heightfinder. Mary and Sandy farmed in the Beaton District before buying the Henribourg store. Mary became the postmistress and held this position until she retired in 1990. Mary was active with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Anglican Church in Prince Albert, SK. She “truly” retired at the age of 80 when she moved to Saskatoon, where she enjoyed being closer to her nine grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren. She enjoyed exemplary care at the Sherbrooke Community Centre since October of 2015. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, Reverend Norbert Haukenfrers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the Sherbrooke Community Centre. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, SK, 306-764-2727, Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
