Audrey Robin
1945 – 2024
The family of Audrey Robin (nee Ferster) sadly announce her passing on February 14th 2024 at 5:30pm at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 78.
Mom was born and raised in Leask, Saskatchewan to Adolph and Elsie Ferster (nee Baun). She had one sister Mary Ferster; a twin brother Walter Ferster; and three half-brothers Edward, Bruno and Ken Ferster. Growing up she was very close to her Grandmother Baun, her mother Elsie, her sister Mary and her first cousin Amanda. All these wonderful ladies offered unwavering love and support during her childhood.
Mom moved to Prince Albert in the mid 60’s and secured employment at Burns Foods. Mom remained there until Burns closed in 1976. Mom was very grateful for every job she held. She was a valued employee who demonstrated a tremendous work ethic into her late 60’s.
In 1966, mom married our father Leon Robin, also from Leask. It was then that she started the dream of raising her own family and embarking into motherhood. She poured her heart into raising her three children, spending countless days in her garden, cooking delicious meals and tending to our every need. She enjoyed dancing, country music, and many sports including hockey, baseball, and curling. Mom was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and her favourite pastime was watching them play sports. We will forever remember her cheering them on as their #1 fan. Mom’s family meant the world to her and she nurtured them with great unconditional love. She will be our forever Valentine.
Although life was not always an easy road for mom, she faced her challenges with strength and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on her children and all who knew her. Mom is survived by her husband Leon Robin, son Bradley (Tammy) and granddaughters Taylor, Melissa (Ryan), Kayla (Tyler) and great grandchildren; son Patrick (Donna) and grandsons Brady (Nevada) and Lukas; daughter Cindy Hall (Craig) and grandsons Brennan (Megan) and Carson (Matycin).
In the last few months of her life, mom was able to spend quality time with her family thanks to the exceptional care and experience she received at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert. We are full of immense gratitude to Dr. Alanna Surkan and the wonderful staff. We ask that any considered donations be made to Rose Garden Hospice in memory of mom. A private service will be held at a later date.
Mom will be missed and remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
