Arthur "Art" Gaudet

Arthur “Art” Gaudet, a husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away on March 3, 2022 at the age of 83, in Saskatoon surrounded by loved ones. Art has rejoined his parents, Yvon and Marie Gaudet and his brother, Nick. Art leaves behind a large and loving family including his wife, Elise, 4 children, Moise, Rene, Bernadette and Norman, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, 6 sisters and hundreds of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Art met Elise in Victoria. Shortly after, he brought his new bride to Batoche, Saskatchewan where he built a life farming. Pop Art, as his children and grandchildren called him, loved spending time with family and friends opening his home in Batoche to all, filling it with constant joy and laughter.
Art was a very active member of his community through the Lion’s Club, curling leagues, hockey teams and his art pieces live in many of our homes. He was always ready to help everyone around him and he made friends everywhere he lived leaving a lasting legacy in Batoche, Bellevue, Domremy, St. Louis, Rosthern, Saskatoon and even Yuma, Arizona where he spent his winters for over 20 years.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Jeanne d’Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy, SK on May 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Millan Sajonas as celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Jeanne d’Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Domremy Community Hall following the Interment. Donations in memory of Art may be directed to a charity of personal choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-234-4403.
