Arcule Arcand

It is with great sadness that the family of Arcule Arcand announce his passing on Dec. 31, 2012 in the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. at the age of 85 years.
Arcule Joseph Bernard Arcand was born August 14 1927 in Debden SK. to Roger and Josephine Arcand.
He grew up in the Debden area and left school at a young age to find work, and then he met a pretty young girl Caroline and they were married. Their family grew and grew with 10 kids, five boys and five girls. They also lost five children in infancy.Arcule worked in the bush most of his life for various employers. He was a hard worker but when he got older in life he enjoyed ice fishing, hunting and trapping.His grandchildren were very special to him and loved when they would come and visit.The family lost a great dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and he will always be loved and the memories will never be lost.
Arcule is survived by; his five sons; Rene (Kate) Arcand of Prince Albert, SK., Ricky Arcand of Debden, SK., Peter Arcand of Debden,SK., Emile Arcand of Deben, SK., Ernest Arcand of Saskatoon, SK.,his five daughters; Denise Lehouillier of Prince Albert, SK., Peggy (Ivan Beaulac) Arcand of Debden, SK., Shirley Arcand of Rocky Mountain House, AB., Roxanne Arcand of Holbein, SK., Cindy (Dennis) Neufeld of Debden, SK., his three sisters; Rose (Lyle) Gordy of Alberta, Judy Campbell of Saskatoon, SK., Geneva (Don) Maxwell of Drumheller, AB., 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by; his loving wife, Caroline, his infant daughter and four infant sons, his grandchild Toby Lehouillier, his parents Roger an Josephine Arcand, his brothers; Jules and Betty Arcand, Maurice and Rebecca Arcand, Joe and Irene Arcand.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in St Jean Baptiste Catholic Church in Debden, SK. with Father Sebastian Kunnath as celebrant.
The Music will be led by Laurna Parent. The Honorary Pallbearers will be ” All of Arcule's family and friends who shared in his life”. The Pallbearers will be ; Claude Dumais, Yoland Couture, Ralph Arcand, Leo St. Denis, Edward Arcand, Duncan Fraser.
The Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date.
Beau”Lac” Funeral Home was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
