Archie Miller
(June 12, 1930 – October 13, 2011)

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Archie passed away on Thursday October 13, 2011 at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert at the age of 81 years. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20 from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church – 260-25th Street East – by Father Roque Concepcion.

Archie was born on June 12, 1930. He grew up on the family farm in Foxdale and in 1959 started working for Bill Moldowan driving truck. He later bought his own truck and was self-employed. In retirement be enjoyed volunteering at the Heritage Center and singing with a seniors group who performed at various senior citizens homes in the city.

Archie leaves to mourn his sister Bertha (Howard) Ernst of Prince Albert; his brother Maurice (Barbara Jean) Miller of Langenburg; extended family Barry (Shelly) Kalika of Leduc, AB, Linda (Rick) Thompson and family of Stoney Creek, ON as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Archie was predeceased by his parents Alice and Henry Miller; his brother Rolland Miller in infancy, his brother Elmer Miller and sister-in-law Shirley Miller Barlow; his sister Elsie (Rolland) Nordby; his 2 nephews Clarence and Stanley Ernst; extended family Mike and Sophie Kalika.

Interment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society – 54-11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9.
