Annie Sauvé
1947 ~ 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Sauve (née Cymerys). Born in the White Star district on February 25, 1947, Annie lived a life rooted in care, curiosity, and an enduring love for the natural world.
She belonged to one of the first graduating classes of Physiotherapy at the University of Saskatchewan and began working at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert after graduation. There she met her husband George, and they settled down to start a family.
Her passion for gardening was known to all who met her. Whether tending to flowers, nurturing vegetable beds, or cultivating fruit trees, she brought deep knowledge, patience, and joy to every growing season. Her homemade fruit wine-crafted with the same care she poured into her garden—was enjoyed and appreciated by many.
She is survived by her loving husband, George; her son, Jason; daughter-in-law, Heather; and her daughter, Lia Zyla (née Sauve); son-in-law, Chad. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Reid, Claire, and Ewan; her sisters, Stella, Jenny, and Josie, and her brother, Casey. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Maria Cymerys.
Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
The Memorial Service for Annie will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev. Nora Vedress officiating.
