Annie McKeand (Nee Bahnmann)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Annie McKeand on November 5, 2022, in her 92nd year.
Annie is survived by and deeply missed by her children and their spouses, Gerry (Maureen), Glen (Laurale), and Peggy (Claudia); her sister Helen (Gord) Ratzlaff; sister-in-law Irene Bahnmann; and grandchildren Samantha, Alexandra and Karlie. She was predeceased by her husband David; parents Franz and Anna Bahnmann; brother Peter Bahnmann; and brother Frank Bahnmann and his wife Ellen.
Annie was born October 10, 1930 in Central Butte, Saskatchewan. The family then moved to a farm near Rosthern where Annie went to school. After graduating from grade 12, Annie took the train to Prince Albert where she worked at the Sanitorium. She enjoyed working with the patients and she kept many crafts and cards they gave to her. After marrying David, she moved to the family farm at White Star. Annie was an active member in the community and her neighbours became life-long friends.
Annie would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received an invitation she could not turn down. Now she can finally have a smoke and coffee at the Coop with her beloved David and her many family and friends who went before. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mom’s guardians at Goodwill Manor in Duck Lake. They cared for “Miss Annie” with untold love and respect for the past eight years.
Annie’s final journey is now in the trust of Beau Lac Funeral Home.
