ANNIE ELIAS (nee REIMER)
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved Annie Elias. Annie was born Aug. 24, 1910 near Brown, Manitoba to Jacob and Mary (Teichroeb) Reimer. At an early age, her family moved to the Wynyard, SK area. Annie married Jacob Elias in 1938 and they made Esk, SK their family’s home in 1945. Early in their marriage, Annie fell in love with Candle Lake and after Jake’s passing in 1984, she made it her permanent home. Every day she kept active by either hunting, fishing, gathering berries, gardening, playing cards, watching curling or visiting with friends and family. A celebration of her 104 years of life will be held at the Candle Lake Community Church on January 24, 2015 at 11:00 am. Lunch to follow. Internment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Candle Lake Seniors Club or Candle Lake Community Church.
