ANNE MAJOR
Anne passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was born in Prince Albert, SK to John and Julia Peneff (Pete) on September 1, 1922. She married Alfred Major in November of 1939 and they resided in Prince Albert until moving to Moose Jaw in 1958. They returned to Prince Albert in 1980. Anne was a devoted member of the St. George Anglican Church for many years. Anne moved to Kopera Care Home in November of 2008 and resided there up until May 13 of this year. She was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred Major on April 30, 1994. Anne is survived by her loving family: her brothers Bill, Walt (Ellie), Steve (Peggy); her sisters Doris and Mary (Cameron); her two sisters-in-law Albina Major and Doris Major as well as many nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Angie Kopera and her staff for the excellent care Anne received while residing in the Kopera Home. They would also like to thank Dr. Cantin and Gray’s Chemists for all their help over the years. At Anne’s request there will be no funeral service. A private family interment will take place in the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens at a later date. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
