1951-2016

Anna Lou Therese Josephine Brown passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday August 22, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. She was born June 23, 1951 in Prince Albert, SK to Joseph and Cecile (nee St. Pierre) Merkowsky. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years Mervyn Brown; her 5 children Matthew (Marjory) Brown and family Mya and Mackenzie; Daniel Brown (Laurie Thompson) and family Coleton, Kennedy and their mother Danielle Lerfold-Brown; Amanda (Donald Bissky) and family Justin, Bode and Carson; Jennifer Brown; Kimberly (Jerry) Ferchuk and family Dawson, Owen, and Olivia; her siblings Suzanne (Charlie) DeMontarnal, Dorothy (Lynden) Zwingli, Armand (Louise) Merkowsky,  Alexander Merkowsky, Shirley (Dave) Porter, and Camille (Calvin) Klimek; her brothers-in-law Wendell (Sarah) Brown, Rodney Brown, and her sisters-in-law Gloria (Greg) Sayer and Marlene Brown; her aunts Sister Therese St. Pierre and Dot Merkowsky, her uncles Roger (Kathleen) St. Pierre,  and Herman (Evelyn) Merkowsky;  as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Anna was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Cecil Merkowsky, mother-in-law and father-in-law George and Irene Brown, brother-in-law Verle Brown and his son Bradley Brown; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Please join us in celebrating the life of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Prayer Service will be at 7:30pm on Friday August 26, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday August 27, 2016, both services will be held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401- 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK with Father Travis Myrheim officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan 1738 Quebec Ave, Unit 26 Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
