Angelique Custer (nee Ballantyne) “Small Mom” was born on Friday, November 9, 1934, in Sandy Narrows, SK, and passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in Pelican Narrows, SK, at the age of 86 years.

Small Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mary (David) Custer; her adopted children, Isaac (Roseanne), Jonah (Melissa), Oliver (April), Lyle, Olivia, Sharon (Terry), Amy (Scott), Marla, Robert (Rosina), James (Georgina B.), Celina, Lydia, Donna, Hilliard (Carmen), Ida, Adam, Melinda, Violet, Richard (Noreen), Gladys (Brian), Roger; her 35 great-grandchildren; her special chapans, Amilio James, Danika Demi, Tenley Amiya, Jace Kane; her sister, Harriet Ballantyne; her nieces & nephews, Nelson (Angelique), Russell (Lindsay), Ida (Eddy), Rosie, Joyce, Ida, Nancy (George), Caroline, Nelson (Crystal), John (Marlene), Margaret, Alice, Jonah (Stella), Stanley (Lisa), Lynda Custer, Howard (Elaine) Bear; all who knew and loved Small Mom.

She was predeceased by her husband, Isiah Custer; her daughter, Rachel Ballantyne; her adopted son, Grand Chief Ron Michel; her parents, Adam & Mary Ballantyne; her sisters, Ida Custer, Lydia Ballantyne, Sarah Sewap, Helen Sinclair; her brothers, Jonah Ballantyne, Andrew Ballantyne, Moses Ballantyne, Angus Merasty; her grandchildren, Dewey, Sampson, Amilio, Isiah, Marlah; her sisters & brothers-in-law, Charlotte, Angelique, Emma, Inez, Maryann, Elizabeth, Charlie, Henry, Walter; her father & mother-in-law, Andrew & Louisa McKenzie.

The Prayer Service will be held for Angelique at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, family and friends unable to attend may view the service online at http://www.livememorialservices.com/Home/ServiceDetail/10378 . Private Wake and Funeral Services will also be held, with interment to follow at Isaac’s Island, in Birch Portage, SK.
