(December 12, 1929 – November 20, 2011)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great husband, father and Papa Gido, Andrew Hrynenko Sr. on November 20, 2011. Andrew was born on December 12, 1929 to Mike and Mary Hrynenko in the Honeymoon District.
In July, 1968, Andrew married the love of his life, Pauline (Motruk) and moved to the Whitfield District until his passing. Andrew enjoyed farming and farmed until his sons took over in 1998, but continued to be involved in the daily activities and operation. Early on in his career he worked in construction and at Beaver Lumber.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 43 years Pauline (Motruk); three children Maryann, Ronald (Monica) and Andrew Jr. (Tricia); grandchildren Alexander, Emma, Austin, Nicolas and Brooklyn; his siblings Ann (George) Nemish, Olga Mihilewicz, John (Elaine) Hrynenko and Mary (Bill) Parasuik; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Mary (Hawryluk) Hrynenko; his mother and father-in-law Mike and Bernice Motruk and brother-in-law Edward Mihilewicz.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 305 – 6th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Michael Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
