Amoss MacLeod

Amos was born on February 5, 1940 in Prince Albert, SK and passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the age of 71. He grew up on the family farm in the Steep Creek district. He enjoyed watching farm machinery working, sometimes walking to the far side of the quarter to watch the neighbors at work in the field. Amoss loved music and enjoyed listening to the old records, he especially liked to hear the Scottish bagpipes. Amoss is survived by his sisters Cicely (Gordon) Hunter, Elizabeth Simpson, Margaret (Ralph) Loeffler and Honora Pequin; his brothers Donald (Ethel) MacLeod, Gethyn (Dawn) MacLeod, Ewen MacLeod and Alastair MacLeod; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth (Plaxton) MacLeod; sister Christine Martz and brothers-in-law Nick Martz, Bill Simpson and Ron Pequin. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Daniel Graham officiating. Interment will be held at Steep Creek Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
