February 4, 1940 – April 28, 2013
Allan is survived by his loving wife Diane (nee Smith); his sons Corey (Allan Puddell) of Moose Jaw, SK and Shane and grandson Tyrell of Prince Albert, SK; his brother Walter (Muriel Venn) Stangby of Asquith, SK; his two sisters Marie (Roger) Hachey of Elliot Lake, ON and Karen (Wesley) Fisher of Saskatoon SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He was predeceased by his father Harold; his mother Aldina (nee Boyer) and numerous family members. Allan is survived by Diane’s family; his in-laws Ovila (Ruth) Smith; Mary Gagnon; Marie (Fred) Markowski, Phyllis LeComte, Ray (Joylene) Smith, Franklin (Marlene) Smith, Anita Teichrob, Darrel Smith, Ben (Debbie) Smith, Jeff (Carol) Smith, Monica Ethier (Terry Pugh) and Gayle Smith (Jean Fines). He was predeceased by Diane’s family; his father-in-law Theophile Smith; his mother-in-law Lillian Smith (nee Nicolas); 4 brothers-in-law Lucien Gagnon, Julien LeComte, Marius Piché and Frank Teichrob and 2 sisters-in-law Evelyn Piché (nee Smith) and Sally Smith (nee Parenteau). Allan was born in Batoché in 1940. He grew up and went to school in LePlaine, SK. He enjoyed working on the farm until moving to Duck Lake! Allan enjoyed working with horses. He ran wagons and then eventually worked at the Calgary Stampede doing farier work. Also all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Tuan Doan. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations can be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 – 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
