May 7, 1938 – April 2, 2016

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Simpson on Saturday, April 2, 2016.  Allan was actively involved in the development of programming while he was employed at Saskatchewan Penitentiary where he retired after 20 years.  Prior to his employment at the penitentiary, he was involved with the Royal Canadian Air Force.  His family meant everything to him, as he was very family oriented above all else.  Allan is survived by his wife Lois; his son Jeffrey (Margaret) and their children Daniel and Stephanie; his daughter Cheryl (Ken) Toll and their children Mathew (Keli) Jason and Sarah (George) Meier; his son Jamie (Cheryl) and their children Christine (Fred) Kissling and their son Emery, and Justin (Jessica) and their son Bennett; his daughter Karen Romanycia (Bruce Ede) and Karen’s children Lindsay (Pat) Senger and their daughter Jordyn, and David Romanycia, and Bruce’s children Nicole and Vanessa; his brother William “Billy” (Jan); and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Allan was predeceased by his mother Linda and father Robert; and 10 siblings.  Public Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, Sk.  Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel with Gloria Stanton officiating.  Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made a charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
