Alice Noelle Dannatt
Alice Noelle Dannatt passed away March 30, 2012 at Mont St. Joseph Home at the age of 100. Noelle was born December 26, 1911 at Great Waltham, Essex, England. Her family moved to a farm in MacDowall in 1928. A year later she travelled alone from England to join her family. They lived on the farm for a number of years and then purchased the general store and post office in Davis, which they operated for numerous years. Upon selling the store they moved to Saskatoon where she spent many happy years. After her sister Marjorie passed away, Noelle moved to Prince Albert to live with her sister Ruth. Noelle is survived by her nieces and nephews Ed McKay, Pat Thuen of Saskatoon, Linda Hansen, Murray (Pat) Baird of Emma Lake, Susan (David) Lindskog of Winnipeg and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Violet and W. Edward Dannatt; sisters Marjorie McKay and Ruth Baird and brother-in-law Jim Baird. Thank you to the caring staff at Mont St. Joseph and a special thanks to Allison Nagy for her kindness. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Norbert Haukenfrers officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Prince Albert SPCA, PO Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9.
