It is with great sadness that we the family of Alice Pruden announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt at the age of 81 years while losing her battle with cancer. Mom passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Victoria Hospital on Dad’s birthday, she went to celebrate it with him. Alice was born at Wild Rose, SK on January 18, 1931 to Ernest and Agnes Wernham. Mom grew up on the farm at Deer Ridge, SK and took her schooling there. On May 30, 1952 she married the love of her life Cecil Pruden. They lived in Prince Albert where they raised their family, her home was always welcoming. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and had a love for animals. Alice is survived by her 10 children Arlene (David) Simoneau, Janice (Kerry) Bower, John Pruden, Terry (Suzan Miller) Pruden, Ronald Pruden, Donald (Anita) Pruden, Garrett (Jackie Moisan) Pruden, Kenneth (Bonnie Lussier) Pruden, Darcy Pruden, Vicky Pruden; 25 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one sister Elda (Gordon) Burns and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil Pruden; her parents Ernest and Agnes (nee Duxbury) Wernham; sister and brother-in-law Yvonne (Sigard) Kristiansen; brother and sister-in-law David (Jeanette) Wernham and daughter-in-law Wanda (Ewashko) Pruden. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Pastor Glen Stead will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
