Alice Hamill
The family of Alice Hamill is saddened to announce her passing on March 24, 2012 at the age of 100 years. Alice was born May 7, 1911 at Barrow-in-Furness, England. She immigrated to Canada with her family and spent her younger years in Ontario. After they married, she and her husband moved to Prince Albert where they raised their two children. Alice was an active member of the Anglican Church Women's Association, both at a local and a district level, and eventually was honoured with a life membership. She also worked at the Holy Family Hospital as an admitting clerk for many years. Alice enjoyed many types of needlework and was known for her hand-made teddy bears. She lived in her own home until earlier this year when she moved to the Herb Bassett Home. Alice was predeceased by her infant son David and her loving husband Ralph. She is survived by her two children Robert Hamill and Cathy Anderson; grandchildren Laura (Michael) Kuzyk, Krista (Devin) St. Hilaire and Michael Anderson and great grandson Jack Kuzyk. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Alban's Cathedral, 1410 Bishop McLean Crescent, Prince Albert, SK with The Reverend Kenneth O. Davis officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to St. Alban's Cathedral to support the accessibility fund.
