Alice Frances Klein
March 10, 1959 – April 9, 2014
Alice Klein passed away on April 9, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon after a brief illness. Alice was born on March 10, 1959 in Prince Albert to Clayton and Agnes Klein. After moving to Prince Albert in 1967 with her mother and brother, Alice attended the Kinsmen School for several years. She then went to the Kinsmen Workshop in September 1977 and worked there for over 35 years. Alice then moved to Wakaw in May 2013 to live with Reg and Logie Neufeld at a care home that she really enjoyed. Alice enjoyed bowling in her younger years along with going shopping and garage sale hunting with her mother. She always looked forward to family gatherings and special holidays when family would gather. Alice would remember names and faces of people that she had met many years earlier. When Alice was living with her mother at home, she would always go to the neighbors to collect newspapers and flyers to be recycled. Alice leaves to mourn her sister Virginia Johnson and her brother Roy (Wendy) Klein; her niece Gail (Dave) Koppalaar; her nephews Geoffrey Johnson, Christopher Klein, Michael (Karen) Klein; her great niece Zoey Koppalaar; and her great nephews Nicholas and Zachary Koppalaar. Alice was predeceased by her father Clayton Klein; her mother Agnes Klein; her infant sister Carol; her brother-in-law Fritz Johnson; her grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Val Bodnaryk. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
