Alfred Silas Venne was born on Friday, February 13, 1953, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 67 years. Alfred is survived by his loving family, his wife, Beatrice Ratt; his children, Loretta Hancheroff (Metro), Alfred Clancy Ratt, Elizabeth Sanderson (Calvin Redman), Waylon Ratt, Edgar Ratt; his special grandson, Mason Clinton; his grandchildren, Jabin Ross, Kevin Ross, Kristen Ross, Dawson Hancheroff, Hailey Hancheroff, Loretta Venne, Lillian Sanderson, Josh Sanderson; his sisters, Alice Ratt, Linda Ratt (Zack), Darlene Venne (Warren Hryniuk), Mary Venne (George Charles), Vicky Viney; his brothers, Colin Venne (Hilda), Riley Venne (Mary), Sandy Venne (Susan), Gerald Venne; his brothers and sisters-in-law, James Ratt, Pauline Ratt (Mike Starnjski), Moses Ratt; his uncles, Myles Charles (Anne Cook), Silas Bird; his aunts, Frances Charles, Elizabeth Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ryu J. Sanderson; his brothers, Herbert Venne, Leonard Venne; his brother-in-law, Jacob Ratt; his in-laws, James Ratt and Amy Ratt; his niece, Alice Charles; his nephews, Tommy Venne and Anders Ratt; his parents, Thompson & Nora (nee Charles) Venne; his grandparents, Roderick Venne and Annie Venne, Lydia Charles and Mathew Charles. The Wake Service for Alfred will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Kitsaki Hall, in La Ronge, SK; the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Kitsaki Hall, in La Ronge, SK, Tom Sanderson, Edna Mirasty, and James Eninew officiating.
