(October 27, 1930 – January 5, 2012)
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Alfred Langlois who passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2012 with family by his side at the age of 81 years. Alfred was born on Monday, October 27, 1930 in Domremy SK.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife Marie (nee Bruce); his children Estelle (Don), Florence (Randy), Raymond, Lionel (Andrea); his grandchildren Matthew (Nancy), Sara (Ben), Emily, Jason, Brian (Andrea), Steven, Eric, Amanda, Paul (Hillary), Craig, Jessica; his great-grandson Jacob; his brother Rosaire (Francoise); his brother-in-law Edward (Marie-Ange) Bruce; his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Onesiphore and Rose (nee Baril) Langlois. He married the love of his life Marie Bruce on October 17, 1960 in the Batoche Roman Catholic Church.
Alfred will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 9 from River Park Memorial Chapel- 301 River Street West. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10 from Sacred Heart Cathedral – 1401 – 4th Avenue West – by Father Maurice Fiolleau. Internment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that donations be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral Capital Appeal.
