The family of Alfred Boutin sadly announce his passing on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Rosthern Hospital. Alfred was born February 25, 1946 to Jean Marie and Irene (Tessier). He grew up on the family farm in Domremy. He attended Ethier School and later Domremy School. Alfred resided on the family homestead where he farmed and raised livestock all his life. Countless hours were spent in the shop building, fixing and restoring equipment, something that he had a talent for. Alfred was an active member in the Knights of Columbus. Favourite pastimes were spent playing guitar, training horses, and growing a big garden. Alfred enjoyed visiting and sharing stories over the years with family, neighbours and friends. Alfred leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his son Ted (Bonnie), his grandchildren Karlee and Troy, his daughter Simone, his siblings Isidore (Clarisse) Boutin, Marina Bussiere, Rose Ann Grenier (Simon Gaudet), sister-in-law Lucie and numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred was predeceased by his parents Jean Marie and Irene; brothers: Adalbert (Blanche), Rev Jean Marie, Bernard and Nap; sister Albertine (Alain Tremel); and brothers-in-law Claude Bussiere and Bernard Grenier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 am in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Domremy, SK with Rev. Fr. Phong Tran as Celebrant. Donations in memory of Alfred may be sent to a charity of personal choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Marc Blondeau at Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK at 1-306-233-4403.
