It is with deep longing in our hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother “maman” at the Victoria Hospital on Friday May 27, 2016, she had reached the honorable age of 101 years. Mom and dad started their family in the 30’s when rural living was very different than now. For example, no electricity or indoor plumbing, and washing clothes by hand on a scrub board; in all these conditions mom carried and brought to life 12 children. Our family did have its share of struggles but mom, through her faith (prayers) a strong heart and spirit always pulled us through. So “mom” those of us that were with you at your time of death know that you left in peace; may you help us carry on this peace that you left. Alexandrine will be lovingly remembered by her children Eleanor Ferchuk, Leonard Richard, René (Jean) Richard, Gerry (Evelyn) Richard, Anne Hart, Frances (Ervin) Blanchard, Lucy Richard, Conrad Richard, and Fabian Richard; her grandchildren Randy, Craig (Sarah), Jeff (Arlene), Diana, Kelly (Nellie), Tina, Dawn, Lori, Dwight, Jennifer, Angela (Dustin), Peter (Candice), Myra (Ernest), Matthew, Lee, Mark (Lucianna), Curtis (Vicki), Lisa (Leroy)Marc (Brenda), Bernard (Lori), and Angel; her son-in-law John Plante; her 36 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Louis, daughters Esther, Louise Plante, and Olive, parents Patrice and Lucie Lepine (nee Nolin), sisters Pauline, Rosanna, Beatrice, Marie-Anne and brothers Robert, Martin, Edmond, Marcel, Joseph, 5 siblings in infancy, parents-in-law Ambrose and Alexina Richard (nee Turcotte), brothers-in-law William, David, Antoine, Joseph and Albert, sisters-in-law Berthe, Mary and Maguerite, sons-in-law Eugene Nyland and John Ferchuk, grandchildren Wesley Ferchuk, Priscilla Richard, Paul Nyland, Marnie Nyland, Monique Plante and great granddaughter Danielle Nyland.
