Alex Sawicki

It saddens us to announce the passing of Uncle Alexander (Alex) Sawicki early morning February 19th, 2025. Alex as born in the Ukraine to Paul and Nancy Sawicki on March 2nd, 1931. The family moved to Canada in 1937 landing on the east coast and finding their way to land that they purchased north east of Paddockwood. Though Alex travelled away and did other jobs to support the farm, farming was very much what he wanted to do. He farmed full time until he moved off the farm and into Prince Albert.
The last 6 years were spent at the Herb Bassett Home where the wonderful staff there helped him ‘live’ his best life!
He is survived by his nephew Garry (Jeanne) Molitwenik, Coldsteam, BC, their son’s Todd (Junko) Molitwenik, Victoria, BC, their son’s Brandon (Lauren) Molitwenik, Victoria, BC, Tyler Molitwenik, Victoria, BC, Ryan (Kendra) Molitwenik, Vernon, BC, their son’s Jacob (Rebecca) Molitwenik, Vernon, BC, Ben (Lisa) Molitwenik, Oyama, BC, Sam Molitwenik, Vernon, BC, Wade (Lisa) Molitwenik, Coldstream, BC, their children, Jarett Molitwenik, Coldstream, BC, Keon Molitwenik, Coldsteam, BC, Hayden Molitwenik, Coldstream, BC
Niece Nancy (Kim Anderson), Christopher Lake, SK
He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Nancy Sawicki, his sister Nettie Molitwenik and her children Allan Molitwenik and Gloria Graham and his brother Peter Sawicki and his wife Mary.

As per the wishes of the family a private interment will be held.
