Alec Daniel Halkett “Tragic” was born on May 12, 1958, in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on March 17, 2025, in Little Red River Reserve, SK, at the age of 66 years.

Alec is survived by his loving family, the mother of his children, Evelyn Bird; his only son, “Baby” Alex Bird; his grandchildren, Keira (Sonny), Bryson Bird; his chapans, Alyssia, Owen; his brothers, Douglas (Esther) Halkett, Gilbert (Alice) Halkett, John “Boy” Halkett, Robert (Hilda) Joseph, Henry (Pam) Halkett; his sisters, Lucy Henderson, Victoria Joseph, Phyllis Moccasin, Darlene Lena Halkett; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Halkett, Sharon Mirasty, Stacey Halkett.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Amelik & Lillian Halkett, James & Mary Jane Bird; his parents, Robert & Agnes Halkett; his daughter, Angel Agnes Bird; his brothers, Billy Ross, Thompson Mirasty, Samuel Halkett, Isaac Halkett, Leonard Halkett, Gordon Halkett; his brothers-in-law, Henry Joseph, John Henderson.

The Wake Services for Alec will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the White Hall, in Little Red River Reserve, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the White Hall, in Little Red River Reserve, SK, with Bishop Adam Halkett, Rev. Roger Bird, and Rev.
