It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Albert Edward Csapo, who passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 88.
Albert was born on June 22, 1938, at home on the family farm near St. Brieux, SK, to Louis and Marie Csapo. Raised with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the land, Albert spent much of his life farming. He also worked as a miner in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario where he was known for his dedication and resilience.
Albert had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper who found peace and enjoyment in nature. His adventurous spirit also led him to become a scuba diver and an enthusiastic traveler, always eager to explore new places and experiences. Whether in the bush, on the water, or sharing stories with family and friends, Albert embraced life with curiosity and determination.
In 1998 he met his love Esther (Mydland) Welch. They spent time together enjoying traveling to casinos, garage sales and auction sales. They also enjoyed visiting with friends, picking berries as well as playing darts and horseshoes.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Marie Csapo; his brother, Antony Csapo; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (John); brother-in-law, Tony Martignetti; sister-in-law, Emma (Mydland) Deschner; brother-in-law, Rennie Hanson; and great-nephew, Jonah Rohel (Judy & Leo)
He also leaves to mourn, his spouse, Esther; stepdaughter, Elana (Billy) Macfie and their daughter Camryn, who held a special place in his heart. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, John Csapo; his sisters, Margaret Bushell and Mary Martignetti; and his many nieces and nephews.
Albert will also be dearly missed by his good friends, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gordon and Jean (Mydland) Engen; his sister-in-law, Ruth (Mydland) Hanson, and many cherished friends whose lives he touched over the years.
Albert will be remembered for his quiet strength, adventurous spirit, generous nature, and his love for the outdoors. His legacy lives on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
