ABRAM HEPPNER
February 14, 1924 ~ June 8, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Abram Heppner announce his passing on June 8, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK.
Abram was born on February 14, 1924 in Waldheim, SK to Elizabeth and Henry Heppner. He was one of 6 siblings, Elizabeth, Helen, Cornelius, Henry and Edward. He served in the army during the war. He was in the Infantry and then the Corporation of Engineers. He worked in Ontario and B.C. after the war and later settled in Prince Albert after getting married. He worked at Burns Foods until it closed and was self employed for awhile and then was with the Corporation of Commissionaires for a number of years until he retired at age 80.
Abram was never afraid to try new things. He liked fishing and motorcycles. He worked hard, always put his family first and yet was ready to help anyone who needed it as long as he was able to do so. He spent winters in B.C. after he retired until his health no longer allowed him to do so.
Abram is survived by his children Geraldine, Elaine Sorenson (Jim) and Kevin (Darlene); 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Abram is predeceased by his wife Marie; daughters Caroline Duncan (Gary) and Tracy; siblings Elizabeth, Helen, Cornelius, Henry and Edward.
