Grant Samson Carriere was born in Prince Albert, SK, on Thursday, May 24, 1990, and passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 30 years. He attended Queen Mary, St. Mary’s, and Graduated from Carlton Comprehensive High School.
Grant was an avid UFC fan and was known to support the Edmonton Oilers through thick and thin. Grant was currently pursuing a career in Conservation upon his passing. He loved to spend time fishing and hunting with his many friends and family. Grant was a great friend to all that knew him. He was a generous and kind soul who would give what he could when he could. Grant could make anyone laugh and always tried to find humour in situations. He was a proud Uncle to his nephews Daxton and Dayton Carriere, they were his joy and always gave them his time. He was a great son, a great brother, a great friend and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Grant is survived by his loving family, his mother, Suzette (Suzie) Carriere & step-father Jeff Badger; his brother, James Carriere; his sister, Samara Carriere; his father, Samson Sanderson; his brothers, Trent McDonald, Tyrone McDonald, Samuel Sanderson, Rocky Sanderson, Samson Jr. Sanderson; his sisters, Samantha Ratt, Chasity McDonald-Sanderson, Kaelyn Sanderson; his grandmothers, Lena Sanderson, Charlene Badger, Chapan Rosaline Bird; his grandfather, David Badger; his uncles, Warren Carriere, Dean Carriere, Donald Carriere, Brian Sanderson, Gordon Sanderson, Wade Sanderson, Ashley Sanderson, Angus Sanderson, Clinton Sanderson, Dean Sanderson, Kevin Badger; his aunties, Yvette Carriere, Jeanette Carriere, Marilyn Beatty, Rosa Smith, Shirley Badger, Michelle Bird, Cindy Badger, Deborah Charles; his nephews, The Light of his Life: Daxton Carriere, Dayton Carriere, Luka Michel, Colton Ratt; his special friend & companion, Skye Daniels; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Philip Carriere, Nap Sanderson, Louis Badger; his grandmother, Patricia Carriere; his uncles, Grant Everette Carriere, and Dennis Sanderson.
The Wake Service for Grant will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 3, 2020; the Viewing for friends and relatives will be held at 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 4, 2020; and the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 4, 2020, all taking place at the River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK.
