There is something wonderful about getting fresh flowers. In fact, studies show having flowers in your home can increase happiness, reduce depression and give you more energy at work. Maybe that’s why the floral department at Safeway in Prince Albert has won the BOB Award for ‘Best Place to Get Flowers’ four years in a row!

“The staff are amazing at customer service and putting together a perfect arrangement for your special occasion. We are a leader because of our customer service and our broad range of products,” said Wes Erlendson, Safeway store owner.

The Safeway floral department has won the award for ‘Best Place to Get Flowers’ five years running.

For the most part, the floral department imports flowers from South America.  Erlendson said there is a lot of quality control in place to ensure the flowers are fresh, ready to go and last long.

“We can cater to what the customer wants and we can do that with minimal notice. We also have an excellent delivery service,” he said.

In addition to flowers, the floral department offers helium balloons, plush toys, fruit baskets and more.

In addition to flowers, the floral department at the locally owned and operated Safeway store includes outdoor plants for the summer market, seeds for the garden, helium balloons, plush toys and home décor.

“We also provide fruit baskets and can tailor them to the customers needs,” said Erlendson. “So, it might have traditional chocolate bars but we can substitute those for no-sugar bars or cookies. We want it to be a good experience for the person receiving the gift.”

Most of the flowers at Safeway are imported from South America and guaranteed to be fresh and last long.
