The Fire Place Hut is Prince Albert and area’s number one fireplace provider.

Dennis Sawchuk, owner of the Fire Place Hut said they provide and showcase one of the best showrooms in the province with over 50 units on display and he takes pride in the fact that they sell only the finest when it comes to quality.

“I have two criteria on the lines of product that we sell here,” said Dennis.  One is its got to be rated in the top three in north America and the second is it has to be something that I would put in my own house.”

“So everything that we sell is upper end product,” he added.

The Fireplace Hut has been serving Prince Albert and area since 2004. At that time Dennis who has over 30 years of experience in the construction sector decided he wanted to specialize his skills and offer a product in the city that no one else was offering.

“We wanted to specialize in something that 10 other people were not already doing,” he said. “It was supposed to be a semi retirement thing but we kind of grew past that and went beyond that, but that’s good because we enjoy it and we have fun with it.”

The Fire Place Hut has developed a great reputation and a very large trading area over the years. They service not just Prince Albert and area but Saskatchewan wide.

“Our trading area has really grown,” he said. “We get customers coming from Flin Flon, Creighton, Saskatoon, from Southern Saskatchewan, we have a lot of Alberta clients at the lakes, we go down to North Battleford and do installs down there, so our trading area is huge and actually probably 80 per cent of our business is out of town.”

Dennis said all  the product they offer can be viewed on their updated website thefireplacehut.com which is now mobile friendly and displays well on I-pads and tablets also.

All products offered must meet strict criteria, it has to be rated in the top three in north America and the second is it has to be something that they would put in their own house.

“Our showroom it’s a constant work in progress we are always adding lines on and I am working on trying to get a couple of other ones right now,” he said. “Most of our lines are exclusive to us for this area.” “Our exclusive lines can be viewed in our showroom at our highway 2 south service road location.” Dennis added.

Dennis said they sell anywhere from 275 to 300 units per year and install approximately 200 of those. He said when his crew is doing an install the goal is to have it running by the end of the day.

“We want the fireplace up and running so you can use it,” he said. so it’s usually one day to install but then the customer still has to do their own finishing. If it’s a stove however then basically we leave and it’s pretty much ready for use.”

Fire Place Hut offers a variety of premium brands in both gas and wood fireplace’s and stoves including: Valor, Vermont Castings, Regency and Napoleon for gas Pacific Energy, Vermont Castings and Napolean. Plus RSF, Security, and Blaze King for wood.

The showroom is always a work in progress displaying the most recent trends in home comfort and style.

Recently The Fire Place Hut picked up few brand new grilling lines including: Louisiana Grills, a premiere line of pellet barbecues and smokers plus the Big Green Egg, the world’s top selling kamado style charcoal barbecue, which guarantees the ultimate cooking experience. Several different sizes are available and offered at The Fire Place Hut and a complete line of accessories and seasonings are also currently available and can be found in the special Grilling Room.

However fireplaces are not the only thing The Fire Place Hut specializes in they also offer a variety of Sauna’s from Finnleo that can also be viewed online plus they provide a full range of plumbing, heating and air quality services.
