Oct 6, 2015 | 4:33 PM

A funeral is an important step towards healing for everyone who is affected by the loss of a loved one. Planning a funeral is not easy nor is it an experience that most people look forward to.

Drew Gray, funeral director and owner of Gray’s Funeral Chapel is intimately familiar with the funeral planning process and the decisions a grieving family must make after the over whelming experience of losing a loved one.

“Families are at a very vulnerable time when they have to arrange a funeral and often they have no clue on what decisions they need to make,” said Gray. “So my job and the other directors jobs at Gray’s Funeral Chapel is to guide them through that path of decision making so that at the end of the experience they can look back and think it was actually a positive one.”

Gray has worked in the funeral business since 1988 and he has been the owner/general manager and a funeral director at Gray’s Funeral Chapel since 1993. With over 20 years of experience Gray said he has and always will have a passion to help others.

“I think that I have worked hard at developing my skills and continue to do so,” said Gray. “I don’t ever rest on my laurels or let myself get complacent of every single families need to feel that they are the very first family that we have ever served.”

“And I try to implement that on my staff as well,” he added.

Gray and the staff at Gray’s Funeral Chapel promise to take care of the details and they strive to help their clients create a meaningful funeral experience that that fits their client’s needs and values. Close family and friends know their loved ones best and at Gray’s Funeral Chapel they work with their clients to create a memorial service that pays a fitting tribute.

“We have a strong philosophy of service first and families first,” said Gray. “We all realize that this is a business and a business needs to be profitable to continue to offer a service but we are very much bottom line not profit driven, that is not are first priority.”

“We treat it like health care when you go to the doctor for instance and you have something that needs healing the doctor will do everything that he or she needs to do to make you well. We approach it the same way. We don’t think of the money first we think of the service first and we never get the order wrong. It’s always service first.”

Gray’s Funeral Chapel offers a complete range of funeral services, with both burial and cremation options. When you visit Gray’s Funeral Chapel they promise to treat you with the sensitivity, compassion, and respect that you deserve.
