Prince Albert Concert Choir prepares for concert

For many, the holiday season is about music.

With this in mind, the Prince Albert Concert Choir will be putting on a show Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., at Calvary United Church.

Choir president, Margaret Duncombe, explained the type of music they will perform.

Annual Santa Flight brings joy to northern communities

Communities in northern Saskatchewan got an early visit from a jolly old friend Friday.

The main man in red and white wandered his merry way to schools in Fond Du Lac, Black Lake and Stony Rapids as part of Transwest Airs annual Santa Claus flight.

Construction industry in Prince Albert slow

The province’s construction industry been receiving some attention with the Saskatchewan Construction Association recently announcing that over 10,000 jobs had been lost in the industry over the last three years.

Today marks an important day in Canada. It was 29 year ago that 14 women were murdered at École Polytechnique in Montreal.

Since that day, Canadians have been marking National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Prince Albert’s newest development is on schedule with part of the near $15 million venture set to be ready to open for business next week, according to the owners.

The Beer Express, the city’s newest beer store will be offering locals some different products.

Prince Albert and District Community Service Centre marks major milestone

Monday saw International Day of Persons with Disabilities acknowledged all over the world. The day which is officially sanctioned by the United Nations was recognized in Prince Albert by the P.A. and District Community Service Centre.
