Roosevelt rallying for end of the season return

A welcome sight returned to the practice field this week in Riderville.

Star receiver Naaman Roosevelt was out taking reps with his team for the first time since he was taken off and then placed back on the six-game injured list before Thanksgiving Day game against Edmonton.

It’s a day the Rider Nation looks forward to every year, but this year’s is a little more special for linebacker Sam Hurl.

‘Get used to it:’ No changes coming to Rider offence

It was second and seven in the fourth quarter and the Riders were in desperate need of a touchdown.

Desperate need of any sort of offence, really, but a touchdown would have brought them within five points with time left on the clock to do more damage later.

Riders need to stop the run to beat the Argos

Over the last three games, the Roughriders defence has allowed a whopping 339 yards rushing.

And over the last three games, Toronto Argonauts running back James Wilder Jr. has rushed for 380.
