Sep 14, 2018 | 2:00 PM

Husky Energy Inc. returned to court in Lloydminster Thursday for charges involving the July 2016 oil leak near Maidstone.

Husky is facing several provincial and federal charges relating to the release of 225,000 litres of oil from a pipeline in July 2016. About 40 per cent of that oil went into the North Saskatchewan River, affecting water sources in North Battleford, Prince Albert and Melfort.

The case has been adjourned to Nov. 22 at 10 a.m.

Crown prosecutor Matthew Miazga confirmed in an interview Wednesday discussions were continuing about a possible resolution in the case.
