Paramedics deal with several weekend assaults

Parkland Ambulance Paramedics responded to 59 incidents this weekend, most of which were assaults resulting in minor injuries.

A more serious assault occurred on Saturday, April 30, just before 6 a.m. in the 1100 block of Branion Drive, resulting in injuries for a 25-year-old woman. She was taken to hospital in good condition for further care.

Paramedics also dealt with a few car accidents.

On Saturday, paramedics responded to an ATV incident at 5:30 p.m., just off of Highway 3 west. A male, 51, was treated for injuries before being taken to hospital in good condition for further care.
