P.A. Robbery Case

P.A. group accused of robbery to face preliminary inquiry

Jul 16, 2019 | 4:18 PM

All four members of a Prince Albert group accused of committing a string of robberies are set for preliminary inquiries.

The two women in the case, 22-year-old Rikki Steinkey and 23-year-old Tonisha Fulton, will have a joint preliminary inquiry from Nov. 20 to 21 in Melfort Provincial Court to determine if there is sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.

Fulton is charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and party to offence of robbery. She was released on bail on March 14 and elected to be tried in Melfort Queen of Court’s Bench in front of a judge alone.

The charges stem from incidents on March 4 when a group of four allegedly robbed a Prince Albert gas station with a firearm, then travelled to Jansen and Spalding where the group is alleged to have attempted further robberies. All were arrested south of Invermay.

Steinkey has two separate cases from the incident. She will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Sept. 11 for plea and a preliminary inquiry as she faces charges such as armed robbery and party to offence of robbery. Her Melfort charges include assault with a weapon with intent to steal, use of a firearm in an attempted robbery, and being at large of her recognizance.

The two 20-year-old men, Brandon Peeteetuce and Dorion Loessel, will each have their preliminary inquiries on separate dates.

Peeteetuce will appear in Melfort court next on July 23, while Loessel won’t appear until Dec. 5.

Both are charged with assault with intent to commit robbery and disguise with intent. Peeteetuce is also charged with armed robbery, tampering with a serial number, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and breach of a youth sentence order. Loessel is also charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
