AED gives exercise program a start

A program to help people with chronic conditions is being rolled out in Tisdale, thanks to a donation of an AED.

The device, which helps during a heart attack, was donated by physicians at the Tisdale medical clinic in memory of colleague, Dr. Theo Bodenstab.
Geoff Stewart, an exercise therapist, says a medical exercise program allows people with chronic condition start to begin to take care of their health in a supportive environment.
He says, the program can accommodate 16 people at a time, but as people constantly graduate many more will benefit.
Participants have to be stable and cleared by their doctor to begin.
