Riderville hosting Western Final party

Avonlea is living up to its title of Riderville by putting on a party to celebrate the Saskatchewan Roughriders competing in the Western Final in Calgary on Sunday.

Mayor Alex Getzlaf says the party is being held in Avonlea's town hall. There's no charge for admission and everyone is welcome.

“The game will be shot on a 10-foot, high definition screen,” he said. “We expect to hear a lot of roaring fans cheering on the Riders wearing their green — a big boost from Riderville to support the Riders.”

There will be a bar, a barbecue and raffles for Riderville wear. Kick off is at 3:30 p.m.
