Doug Berry, others considered possible successor to Ken Miller as Roughrider head coach
Ken Miller leaves some pretty big shoes to fill, but already there are a number of familiar names being bandied about as a possible successor to him as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
One CFL inside thinks the Riders want someone who either has a connection to the team now or has had one in the past.
TSN's Dave Naylor has three possible candidates in mind. The first is the Riders' offensive coordinator, Doug Berry, who has been a head coach.
“He has been with Brendan Taman, who hired him in Winnipeg, so there's the connection there. Obviously, offensive coordinator with the Roughriders right now, offense sputtered, looked great sometimes, looked not too great others,” said Naylor.
