Wheat Board elects directors

The Canadian Wheat Board announced the results from its recent election.

Kyle Korneychuk has been re-elected for a four-year term in district seven. There area includes his home community of Pelly, north of Kamsack.

Swift Current's Stewart Wells is the new district three director.

Current board chair Allen Oberg has retained his seat for district five, which includes Northern Saskatchewan and parts of Eastern Alberta.

Only 41 per cent of board members mailed in their ballots this year, it’s a big drop compared to 53 per cent participation back in 2008.
