Dec 14, 2010 | 2:49 PM

The RCMP in Wollaston Lake are looking for a snowmobiler, who fled the scene of a race that left another man severely injured.

The 23-year-old male was injured after losing control of his sled late Monday afternoon. He hit a large boulder without wearing a helmet. He was taken to the local clinic before being airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He is currently being treated for serious injuries.

Police were initially called to respond to a complaint of the two snowmobiles racing on a residential street in the Hatchet Lake First Nation. RCMP officers are still looking for the second racer and are asking the public to call Wollaston Lake RCMP at 1-306-633-1200 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
