A 94-year old woman has become the second resident of a Humboldt seniors home to die after a carbon monoxide leak.
The elderly woman died Tuesday in Humboldt Hospital after being treated for exposure to the gas.
“Although she did have other medical conditions that appear to have been aggravated by the situation there's now question in our mind that there's a connection to the carbon monoxide leak,” said Dr. David Poulin, Vice President Medical Affairs with the Saskatoon Health Region
The leak happened back on Boxing Day, leading to the evacuation of two dozen residents. Later on the same day, an elderly man died. The gas was deemed to be a contributing factor in his death.
