Ranch Ehrlo hockey league gets funding

The Ranch Ehrlo outdoor hockey league received a generous donation at Friday's Raider game.

They were presented with a cheque for $10,000 to fund the drop-in league that is free for participants.

Each week winter youth from two areas in the city go to their local outdoor rink to learn skills and play games.

The league is open to all ages, but geared towards youth from eight to 14-years-old. It run almost completely run by volunteers and all the youth wear donated equipment.
